Abstract Submission Guidelines
Title of presentation: Please choose a brief title (maximum of 100 characters) that clearly indicates the
content of the contribution. Avoid abbreviations in the title.
Thematic Area: Please choose diabetes as the thematic area.
Preference: For presentation in a poster session or an oral session. The JPEF Abstracts Committee will
determine whether the abstract will be accepted for presentation, with consideration given to the author’s preference.
Abstract: Abstracts must be submitted in English.
Please ensure that your abstract contains no more than 350 words. The abstract may contain tables/graphs and images.
Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears.
Abstracts should clearly state: Background, Objective, Methodology, Results and Conclusion.
For case studies: Introduction, Case presentation, Management & Outcome and Discussion.

Abstracts will be screened and selected by an independent expert committee for oral/poster presentations.
Originality of research, data adequacy, and clarity of exposition will be the determinants in the abstract
selection process.
